Meet Bridie & Buffy
Find out all about my two daughters, Pride and Joy! As parents we strive to make our children's lives better than ours, and in my humble opinion, mission accomplished!

What About Bob?
I was born in Missouri, raised in Texas, and started my family in California. My twin daughters are graduates of UCSD and currently reside in Southern California. Their mother fell victim to cancer in 1998. I have been married to my second wife for over 14 years. My career was in the candy and tobacco wholesale industry. For 31 years, I was a buyer for large multi-warehouse chain stores and wholesalers in Los Angeles. I then relocated to Phoenix to accept a position in sales. For 10 years, I worked for the largest cigar manufacturer in the world, retiring in January 2013. I now enjoy the good life in Mesa, Arizona, with my wife Diane.
Live, Learn, Laugh, Love. I sprang into adulthood knowing everything, and spent the rest of my life discovering that I didn’t. Socrates was right when he said, "I know one thing: that I know nothing." I’m happiest when I am either living, learning, laughing or loving. Living is going places and doing things that make me and my wife happy. I’m blessed with an incurable curiosity. Whenever I find something interesting or fascinating, I want to know everything about it, and I want to know it right now! The sound of laughter is music to my ears. We all need to laugh more and cry less. But best of all is being there when someone needs you to hold them, wipe their tears, and assure them everything’s going to be okay. I may have done a few things in my lifetime that I’m not proud of, but those things are far outnumbered by the ones I did right. There is a reason why the windshield is larger than the rear-view mirror. I try to focus on that and be happy.
My interests are reading, writing, computers, photography, golf and travel. Time has proven again and again that I am no athlete. I’ve never shot less than 140 on any golf course and I can’t last much more than 12 moves in chess, but I love the games and those who do well with them. I love movies, television, books, theater, and sports. I love food (and it shows), especially BBQ, Mexican, Steaks, Fried Chicken, Ice Cream and Pecan Pie. Photography is my passion, especially if it’s taking me someplace new or exotic. And music? Don’t get me started. I love it all from Country to Classics. I’m fascinated by the human body, skin that is soft to the touch as a baby, rough in maturity, and crinkled in seniority. I love nature, animals, the sun, the moon, the stars, and the gentle breeze on my face. I also know that “when there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need.”
